To Mr. John T. Stanley,
CEO of AT&T
This is our sad, strange, awful, unusual rip-off story with your organization.
We were approached by AT&T staff in Costco. I personally respect Costco more than I can explain. For me, Costco is the same as the Savior Jesus, and they are the one company in America that works for the people, not ripping them off. In other words, without them, America and Americans could not survive.
As I trust Costco to death, their offer was excellent for four phone lines, all devices included, top of the line, and trading in two of our older phones (older models). We pay monthly only about $175.00, all insurance included, etc.
Next, while in Kahala Mall. I visited the AT&T store to ask another question, and I met their top manager, Chris Masiciat, who was the AT&T district manager. While there, he sat me down and, in one hour, convinced me that:
1- Those people in Costco are not AT&T employees, they work for Costco, and he can beat their offer and price easily
2- AT&T is the best company in America with better coverage
3- AT&T customer service is the best
4- He told that he would be offering a package priced below what Costco was offering. It would be the same package but at a lower price.
He treated us so well; he fooled us. He convinced us to tell him to go ahead with his offer and he applied five different discounts for businesses. He took an hour to write up this package on a piece of paper. When we left the AT&T store, we noticed that we had been there three and a half hours. For this meeting, another executive of the company was with us. We explained to Chris, your AT&T manager, how much I trust Costco, and the only thing that I would change to AT&T from Costco was because I saw that Costco allowed AT&T to sell inside Costco. When Costco sells a product or service or allows someone to go into their store and advertise their products, in my eyes, it is exactly as if God confirmed that service or product. I close my eyes and buy. Chris Masiciat said, "You see, Costco allows us to stay there. This means that we are the best. Just get it directly from us and I will give it to you for even cheaper. I eliminate Costco and provide the same service directly to you even cheaper". I trusted him. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. WHAT A SHAME. Now, it is clear to us and everyone else in my company who is involved in this case that every word out of his mouth was just dirty lies.
Now we understand that every word out of his mouth was a lie. Not even one word is true. What a SHAME AND WHAT A BIG MISTAKE HE MADE. We were held for about 3 hours (Please check the recordings of your in-store cameras), and he made a package as a business client and offered several discounts. and did all the paperwork, gave us four phones, and confirmed the total monthly bill for four phones + insurance for all lines after all sources of discount for a business account will be about $170.00 a month with no hidden fees and no charge for phones. We just needed to turn in two phones, which we did. Two mature adult executives of my company were sitting in on this meeting with Chris Masiciat. What a scammer your manager is.
Not even 30 days passed, and the first bill for November 24 – December 21 came (This is not even for 30 days, it is 27 days) and showed $568.60 instead of $170. Please note, in the United States, a first-world country, an adult executive of AT&T (Chris Masiciat) who runs seven stores in Hawaii sat us down for 3.5 hours, fooled us, and sold us a package for $170.00, charging us $568.60 and many charges that we never heard of before. In my eyes, a hot dog stand owner in India, a one-man operation, runs his business better than AT&T, if you are confirming that this is how you run your business. We called their customer service, and they told us a Cinderella story that we never heard before. None of the words out of the mouth of their Hawaii district manager, Chris Masiciat, was on the bill or honored by the phone representative. None of the discounts were applied. Nothing was correct. We even put our bill on auto-pay, but even that was not implemented. I got nowhere with them on the phone. Nowhere. I had to pick up a witness and go back to the Kahala branch. Chris Masiciat disappeared, and there was no sign of him. The store said that we had to call customer service. We called customer service, and after an hour of arguing, they said that there was nothing we could do and we had to go back to their lying, disappearing manager Chris Masiciat. They kept on giving us the run-around. At this point, it was very clear to me that he was just a scam artist. I am assuming that this guy gets commission over signing people, and that is why he is making fake packages and tricking people to sign, but I promise you this poop that he did on our lives will be so expensive for him that he will never poop on someone else's life. He made a very big mistake, and I promise to everything that I believe in my life to make this the most expensive mistake of his life.
Another day, we visited the AT&T store in Kahala, and the employee said he could not help and mentioned that Chris Masiciat was in another store in Kailua, which is 16 miles away in another city. For reference, 16 miles away on the mainland is nothing, but here in Hawaii, we spend almost half a day out of our lives for two people to go there, wait for him, and meet with him. He fooled us one more time for another two hours, and we came back. Almost half of the day of the lives of two people were wasted again.
We drove there, and two people spent half of our day going out there to find him and complain to him. The scam artist manager, Chris Masiciat, gave us another 2-hour scam show, denied all the problems, and convinced us that if he added another line to our four past lines (which we did not need) as a fifth line. He claimed the reason all of his discounts didn't come through was because the account should have 5 lines, not 4. He said that it was his mistake that he forgot that the discounts needed a fifth line in order to be activated. Chris Masiciat then claimed that with this action:
1- The existing problems would be solved
2- We get another phone line and apple phone for free.
3- The price would be reduced.
4- We got a cash rebate of $750 on our next bill.
At this point, I, as the owner, was sitting there, and the executive was sitting next to me. (Please check your security camera files). Shame on us for trusting him another time. But also, what a big mistake he made. He scammed us again and added another line and gave us the phone. This time, he surprised us with the phone insurance coverage that at first, he claimed was free. This time, he said it would be $45 a month for all lines (5 lines ), and with everything, the bill would now be about $310.00 a month, and we will be getting a $750.00 credit over the next two bills. This still did not make sense compared to what he sold us first, especially adding the extra phone insurance fee. The first time, he claimed that it was included in the price, and now he is saying that it is $45. Later, we found out this was even more and that it was $60.00 that they would charge, and it did not make sense with what he told us at first to sign us up.
The problem still continued. We ended up having to go to that AT&T store again and again. We received a bill for $390 a month, and this time, the bill showed many things that were never discussed again. I went to the store several more times, each time with a witness, but there was no answer. Two people wasted a total of 5 and a half days of their lives going to the AT&T store. This is all because we wanted to get a better cell phone package. WHAT A SHAME. At this point, we have not received any answer, no resolution, and no respect. At that point, they hurt us all. This ripped us off and robbed us. They left us with no choice, I left a message with the store, and I said if Chris Masiciat did not contact me to solve this problem, I would break all these phones in front of the camera and put it online or on the TV news in Hawaii to let the residents of Hawaii know how AT&T and AT&T staff can rip them off and rob them.
The employee at the store, named Quinn was a very nice young man. He was ashamed of what happened. But he could not really help on his own. He called the manager on the phone and talked to the manager Chris Masiciat on the phone and promised us that Chris, his manager, would call us. He got our information one more time, and we left. As we suspected, Chris Masiciat did not contact us. Two days later, we went with a company employee to the Apple Store in Kahala to pick up a computer, and we saw the manager, Chris Masiciat, at the AT&T Store there. I went to the store, and strangely, the store was running with five employees, which was odd. This is the same store that always has just one employee in the store, even on Black Friday, which is one of the busiest days of the year when AT&T scam sites are running, and there were only three employees working there, including the manager. But strangely, that evening, five people were there. It sounds like the district manager, Chris Masiciat, was there that day; instead of solving the problem, he brought a few people to make a scene or to have some witnesses or, more likely, to cover for the mess he created. When the district manager saw us, he turned his back to us. When we asked to talk to him, he acted so rudely. It was very clear that he would not help. I told him politely that we got tired of this game. If he did not fix the problem, we would destroy the phones in front of TV cameras and show America how they scammed us and how you caused pain in our lives. The manager, Chris Masiciat, came up to us and to our faces said MOVE OR I CALL SECURITY. At this point, one of us was a female executive who had come to this AT&T store for the fourth time because of this problem. Another guy bigger than Chris Masiciat threatened us and called security and was even more rude to us than the district manager. WHAT A SHAME. The manager who scammed us, the man who ripped us off, the man who RAPED OUR TIME AND RIGHTS after three months of hassle in our lives instead of listening and solving the problem and cleaning up his mess, came up to the face of a brand new client who he ripped off and scammed multiple times and acted like a gangster who called security on a customer in the most respected shopping mall in Hawaii. Keep in mind we are a top business client who has been scammed and who was stolen from Costco AT&T, who we were originally going to sign up with (Please be advised that a copy of this letter will be going to Costco in Hawaii, and one copy to the office of Mr. Ron Vachris, President, CEO and Director of Costco. What a big mistake, what a big gamble. What an immature employee you hired as a district manager. That is why, in our eyes, you are running your business like a jungle, and you treat your innocent customers like animals. What a big mistake. In the 21st century, where technology allows one person to be able to publish an online complaint or rip-off story such as ours on social media, millions will see and hear it within a day.
At this point, I will not waste your time, and I will go directly to the most important points here:
Chris Masiciat and losers like him are not worth writing and talking and fighting over. Possibly, he is not normal. Otherwise, in the most first-class country on the planet, he should not treat customers like animals. From this point, my word is with Mr. John T. Stanley, CEO of AT&T, or someone who cares about AT&T.
I wrote to you and wasted my time again over buying one phone from you, and I learned a lesson that I will never forget for the rest of my life. In my eyes, and feeling and in the eyes of the two other executives whose lives have been damaged by you and Chris Masiciat, your district manager in Hawaii. You are running AT&T like a jungle and you are treating customers like animals in that jungle. But I am giving you one more chance for you to correct this if you think AT&T is not a jungle and you are not running your business like a jungle. And you prove all the scams Chris Masiciat made to us are not confirmed by you and you were not aware of that, and that was his own dirty game. I do not demand anything and ask you for the minimum. We are not asking for the following:
1- I will go back to Costco, the emissaries of god on this planet, and get the same package that your employee Chris Masiciat scammed me not to buy from Costco. and I will get the same package from them. If the package is not available anymore, I have to find another carrier, or I have to go back to Verizon and sign up with them again. I apologize for my stupidity that caused me to cancel with them and come to you. You will be responsible for paying for anything extra that Costco would have offered me in the first place.
2- You cancel my package as it has been entirely a scam package sold by your manager, scammer Chris Masiciat, and I will return your phones, and you return my two phones. Three of your iPhones have never been used, they are still in the box and have never been touched. This is because of the same problem we have.
3- You adjust my bill to $170 for the exact time that I had your phones, and return back the money that your manager, Chris Masiciat scammed out of us.
4- Chris Masiciat has to apologize in person in front of my executives and the exact same employees of yours who were in the store that day for what he did and how he treated us that day and promise not to do that to anyone else.
5- I don't demand any money from you for all the damages that have come to us here, unlike any other complainer. To prove I am not that kind of person and instead of demanding money from you, I will put millions of dollars in cash in your pocket. Here is how I will do it. Send an investigator from the mainland to look at Chris Masiciat's work history and the complaints and contracts he made with people. You will possibly find more cases that are similar to mine. The person who did this to us, possibly did this to many people and created a bathroom in Hawaii for you. Investigate him and fire him. If you need us to show up anywhere, we will show up and testify against him because this man is turning your multi-billion dollar communications business and the lives of innocent customers into the dirtiest public bathroom in America.
I will close my eyes and leave because I am a business owner, and I do not like hurting AT&T because of a loser employee. But if you do not fix the problem and do the minimum I asked, we will go to war with AT&T, and I swear to God and Jesus, I will teach AT&T a lesson that the company will never forget. To be sure I am not bluffing and that you understand how serious we are about protecting our rights and fighting with people who raped our time, business, and lives, here are my very first actions against AT&T:
1- I already ordered a poster (as a wrap for a vehicle ) 5 x 5 foot in size, to be installed on the back of one of our vehicles, which does tours 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with a large noticeable text stating that AT&T Scams People along with a warning sign. It has cost us $700.00 to do this, and after your response, if we come to the point of installing this behind our vehicle, it will remain there until the end of our lives. We will not remove that sign. This is the decision of the company management and everyone in the company supports this. This vehicle will be driving between Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, and the Airport 7 days a week and 10 hours a day, 365 days a year. A minimum of about 25,000 people a day will see and read this 5 X 5-foot warning artwork, scam alert. Within two weeks, we will do the same thing with a larger vehicle that we just purchased: a 5 x 7-foot warning sign, a total of 40 square feet. We will continue this, and thousands of people will see this our daily. They also will say: "If you have someone, give them an AT&T phone as a gift. You will destroy their lives." It will include a picture of the devil holding an AT&T phone in his hand. It will help them to understand AT&T better. I have asked my web development team to design a simple 5-page website whose address we will be writing on the on the vehicle wrap and direct viewers of the artwork to visit the website.
2- I will put review requests on the same website and start collecting visitors' bad reviews of AT&T on that site, and in the short term, we will turn that site into a major site to be shown when people search for reviews about AT&T and on the same website will put advertising for another phone company and earn money to spend back on the same site just to help the public so they do not get scammed by AT&T employees. I am an expert in SEO. I will search on the web and many other sites and find out AT&T's most interesting complaints that people posted online against you and will add one page per complaint to that website. You can ask an SEO expert what will happen next. Whenever people search for AT&T, the site that shows up next to your website will be a site with thousands of pages where people will complain about AT&T in detail.
3- There is a major tourism-related site that is going to be launching in Hawaii shortly. According to our projections, this site will be one of the most visited sites in the near future. We know the people who own it and the people who are supposed to run it. I contacted them and asked them for a spot on their first page. They sold that spot to me, and I reserved a large spot on the first page of this site, which will read: "Alert, Scam in Hawaii," and they are allowing me to put whatever scam alert on their first page as long as it is true. It will cost me thousands of dollars a year, but I am willing to do that. They will not remove this Scam Alert from their site as long as I pay the fee, and they will not post your answer. It is a private site. This website is estimated to have about 30,000 to 100,000 unique visitors a month, and most are from the US mainland. I do not see any reason to explain more. I will leave this to you. I will wait and then fight to end my life and will damage your company millions legally by showing AT&T's real face to America. I did this before with another scammer and we taught them a lesson that they will never forget, and I still feel good about it. We are sure you have lots of good employees but I am seriously cautioning you that you also have some of the trashiest people we have ever seen in our lives.
I also talked to Costco and told them my story, and they were shocked. In the event that we go to war, I will also file a complaint with consumer protection, fight AT&T, and take it to the media and the local court in Hawaii. I am not a rich person, but I am willing to put the income of one year of my company to just stop AT&T and its employees from robbing and scamming your innocent customers.
If you have read this letter to this point, I appreciate your time, and I hope we do not go to war. I wrote everything that I need to prove in the future, and in any court, we told you A to Z. I will let you lead from here. Once more, I would suggest to you that if I were you, I would investigate this matter and remove Chris Masiciat from his position as he is a big liability for your company. We will be happy to attend if you need us to show up anywhere as witnesses. Please be advised if you don't solve the problem as I have explained above, once more, I am confirming that when I take the steps that I have stated above, I will not stop even if you were to give me everything I asked for and more, I will not stop.
With Respect
